Who We Are

West Africa’s ecosystems are under threat from deforestation, climate change, unsustainable land use, and weak environmental governance. Communities often lack the incentives, tools, and capacity to engage in conservation or access climate-related funding. Policy and enforcement gaps further hinder progress.

1.

Vision

Robust, biodiverse, and sustainably managed environments where local communities, governments, and businesses work in synergy to protect the environment and natural resources and build climate-resilient livelihoods and economic opportunities for present and future generations.

2.

Mission

To combat environmental crime, advance biodiversity conservation, and promote sustainable land use by empowering communities, strengthening sustainable natural resource enterprise and governance, and fostering strategic collaboration and partnerships across West Africa and beyond.

3.

Goal

To strengthen capacities to conserve biodiversity, enhance climate resilience, and improve livelihoods in Africa through inclusive governance, sustainable practices, and regional collaboration.

4.

Objective

Four strategic objectives of the NGO were defined, comprising biodiversity conservation; climate resilience and land use; community livelihoods and markets; and governance capacity.
